Duck Creek Sewer Interceptor Project: What to Know
A $16.25 million ARPA-funded Duck Creek Sewer Interceptor Project is ongoing, connecting Davenport’s western boundaries into the main wastewater collection system. This work is part of Davenport’s compliance with federal NPDES permit requirements. Along the trail, portions have been—or will be—closed for safety while construction zones move through phases. The trail between Pine Street and Hickory Grove Road, in particular, is affected.
How It May Affect You
- Expect detours near Utah Avenue (Locust to 46th Streets) during sewer work.
- Trail users may need to use alternate routes especially between Pine St and Hickory Grove Rd.
- These disruptions should be temporary; the full project is scheduled to finish in the summer months.
